Shook 2020
When I was a soldier, in 2020, the right side of my face got paralyzed.
The military gave me time off to regain my smile.
I couldn't close my right eye for weeks (viewfinder eye).
It was the day before Covid hit Tel Aviv and the city locked down.
So, I took that as a sign.
I picked up a camera, and in one hour, I walked through and photographed the most crowded place in Tel Aviv.
I knew it would be a long time until getting this close to people would be possible again.
Shook 2020 is a street photography project made of several diptychs, investigating the connection between two street photographs and between people themselves. On the day before a lockdown.
